Overview

The Digital Content Manager usually works as part of the Marketing and Communications Team and it’s your job to build a brand identity and online presence through the creation and dissemination of multimedia content online.

From websites and social media to digital marketing campaigns, you’ll need to find creative ways to build an online presence and raise brand awareness for your organisation.

You’ll be developing content strategies, planning content calendars and leading the growth of an online community, as well as tracking that growth.

You’ll need good leadership skills, as you’re likely to be managing a content team, which could include writers, graphic designers and video editors.

You’ll need to be technically minded and have a way with words as sometimes you may have to produce content yourself, however usually you’ll act as the coordinator, commissioner and project manager, overseeing the work of your team.
