Site supervision is entry level management and there is a great deal of responsibility that comes with the role.
Construction sites are busy and dangerous places and it’s your job to ensure the project is completed safely.
A site supervisor is a vital role when it comes to health and safety on a construction site. It’s down to you to manage and assesses any potential safety hazards on site and look at eliminating them.
Crucially, you’ll be looking out for the safety of colleagues and be responsible for relaying protocols that have been set by senior management.
You’ll need good leadership skills as you may have to motivate your workforce to ensure the project finishes on time, and in some cases, you may have to mentor or discipline staff.

Newly trained construction site supervisors can expect to earn around £28,000, growing to around £45,000 with relevant experience.

Qualifications
You’ll usually need a degree, a Higher National Certificate (HNC) or a Higher National Diploma (HND), in a relevant subject such as Construction Management. However, you could also work your way up to this role with relevant experience in this sector.
