Data is everywhere and this occupation is found across all sectors from finance and education to ICT and manufacturing. Data Technicians are employed anywhere that data is generated or processed.

You’ll need to analyse structured and unstructured data to support business outcomes; blend data from multiple sources and apply legal and ethical principles when manipulating data.

You’ll need a head for figures as it’s your job to collect and process data, as well as facilitate data storage processes and create detailed reports based on your findings.

You’ll typically work as part of a team and at this level, you’ll work under the guidance of more senior colleagues.
