Asbestos Analyst/Surveyor

As an analyst or surveyor you will perform an essential role in the identification, analysis and monitoring of asbestos, an hazardous material present within many buildings.

Overview

Asbestos is present within many buildings and past exposure has resulted in thousands of deaths every year.

Why not be part of the fight to reduce that number and be an asbestos buster?

As an analyst or surveyor, your skills in identifying, analysing and monitoring materials will assist employers and property owners in understanding the risks asbestos presents.

You’ll advise on how to control these risks, as well as inspecting buildings, premises and machinery.

The widespread nature of asbestos means you’ll likely be on the road a lot and will visit a range of locations.

To ensure no conflict of interest, your role will not involve removal work, which must be carried out by an independent organisation. You’ll assess the presence of any material and identify whether removal needs to take place.
